October 8, 2007 (Show #199)
A new show every Monday morning. Listen when it fits your schedule! If you have a pop up stopper, you may need to give permission for a new window to open.

Laura Hamrick of OnTray2Go.com was our guest for Work at Home Wednesday on Mom's Morning Show this past week and we so enjoyed her I decided to rerun her interview in this episode.  You'll enjoy hearing about her experience as a new mom inventor.

A smart business woman knows she can't do it all herself. That's why outsourcing makes sense. But securely share login information can be a challenge. Tune in - our Tech Advisor Lynette Chandler of Tech Based Marketing shares the one tool she uses.

What's the most important thing journalists look at when reading your news release? It's the headline. Mucking it up will only get you in the trash bin. So learn the secrets of creating a great headline for your release with Shannon Cherry, the Publicity Advisor for Work at Home Moms Talk Radio and owner of Cherry Communications & Be Heard Solutions.

Customer Service Frustrations!

What do you do when something goes wrong?  How do you respond to cranky customers?  Does your website provide good customer support for you?  After a particularly rude customer this week, I'm on a mission to amp up my customer support efforts in all areas.

If you're a business owner:

  • Create a customer support page at a minimum.

  • Create a customer support help desk if possible.

  • Don't hide all of your phone numbers.

If you're a customer:

  • Don't make assumptions.

  • Don't make accusations.

  • If two emails don't bring a reply - move on the the telephone.

Do you have a question about how to get rolling with your business?  Use our Listener's Line to call in your questions (Call my Listener's Line at (214) 615-6505 ext 9115.) or feel free to email it to me.  Maybe I'll answer your question on next week's show.

For the WAHM and her family,
Kelly McCausey
